attractions. From the Monarchy at Buckingham Palace, to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. There is so much to do.  The attractions are not just limited to  adults many of the attractions are children friendly . So  you could chose the more educational approach at  the Science museum which makes learning fun and encourages a lot of interaction. Or if  that doesn’t take your fancy one can get closer to the animals at London Zoo or feed the fish at London  Sea Life Aquarium. Again the list is endless…..

The main River running through the city is the Thames, the River reflects the City’s diversity, there is a variety of activities to get involved in . The London Eye, a popular attraction is situated on the bank of the River. Standing at 134 meters  it is the largest Ferris Wheel in Europe and overlooks London. The view from the eye is magnificent both during the day and at night.  There are  a lot of restaurants and pubs   along the river bank and throughout the year the South bank remains vibrant with small festivals and street performances to keep you entertained.

London’s buildings are diverse and it is hard to characterise them by any particular architectural style. The buildings range from old detailed arrangements like Tower Bridge to modern artistic styles displayed by ‘The Gherkin’

When it comes to transport,  London is  particularly famous for its ‘Black Hackney’ cabs and ‘Red Double Decker’ busses. The London train and tubes are just as popular and are extremely efficient and convenient modes of transport. It  is advisable to get hold of a tube map, as the different lines can often be daunting, but rest assured the tube colour codes make it more understandable.

London is home to a number of well known high street shops and a number of well known department stores such as Harrods and John Lewis. The main high street shops are situated around the  central area of oxford street, regents street and piccadilly Circus. However Knightsbridge and Marleybone aswell as Camden are known for their infamous shopping areas. If that doesn't hit the spot the newly opened Westfield shopping centre in Sheperds bush, contains a number of shops ranging from the top end of the market, with designers such as Gucci, to the popular high street stores such as Zara and H&M.

Whether it is art, clubbing, restaurants, or animals, London has it all, except for the constant sunshine so be sure to walk with an umbrella!!!
