Tivoli Amusement park and Gardens is well worth a visit- The park has twenty five rides, including one of the world's oldest wooden roller coasters and the world's tallest Carousel, which stands 80 metres high. The gardens are blooming with hundreds of different colours and varieties of flowers and look simply stunning in the summer.
Copenhagen is also home to the Royal Theatre and the modern Opera House where you can catch up on what is happening in the world of classical music and drama. Book tickets for a performance of “the Brothers Lionheart”or “La Traviata” and enjoy an exquisite night at the opera.
The best time to visit Copenhagen is in the summer when the nights stay lighter for longer and the city always looks its best in the summer sunshine. On a sunny day take a trip to the Nyhavn (New Harbour) and visit one of the many cafes situated there. Relax for an hour, enjoy a coffee or a beer and watch the world go by.

The Carlsberg Brewery is also a favourite with the tourists. The guides offer a very interesting presentation and tour of the brewery while the scent of hops and yeast wafts up your nostrils! One of the rooms is filled with a bottle of every type of beer the brewery has ever made. Don’t forget to sample one or two of the beers before you leave Denmark.
