Argentina: the Paris of the Americas! Argentina is famous of Gauchos, Mate, Asado, Tango, Pampas, and Dulce de leche. Country of passionate, lively people and indeed great weather! The country’s capital and centre is Buenos Aires. The capital
city, once a prosperous European-style metropolis teeming with glamorous tango halls and grand cafes is definitely one of the most visited destinations on the planet. Architecturally speaking, the city is a fascinating microcosm of styles from colonial to belle époque to modernist. It seems that the city never sleeps, the clubs, bars and all sort of parties are going on till the morning hours. If you don’t have a clue where to go we would definitely recommend Las Cañitas which is smart and square, Palermo a trendy part of the town and San Telmo, which is renascent and increasingly subsidised by the pink peso. All great for an amazing night in town. During a day there is also a plenty of things to do. Thousands of tourists visit daily Evita´s mausoleum. Then you could walk through the Plaza de Mayo original city’s square. Take a breath of air along the prom of the Costanera Norte and enjoy the breezes blowing in off the big coloured river. Snack bars sell choripanes (spicy sausage sandwiches) and beer, and on match day every man has a woman in one hand and a radio in the other. In Buenos Aires can is South America's finest lyric theatre. It was opened a century ago, and is loved by singers because of its fine acoustics - Caruso, Callas, Caballé and many of the other greats have performed here. A seat in the stalls is worthy of gala threads, but even in your jeans up in the gods you'll feel ennobled by the experience.
After Buenos Aires begins the land of Pampas. There the history and legends walk hand in hand. Río de la Plata, situated in the east of the country is considered as the most European city of Argentina. Argentina is famous of magnificent landscapes and offers fantastic outdoor experience even for the most demanding backpackers. If you interested in that you definitely need to head to the Andes Mountains, the place to be for hiking and skiing lovers. Patagonia situated in the south of Argentina is also a rocky land.
